3rd July 2017

April and May were busy months for MineARC South America. The team showcased MineARC’s portfolio of refuge chambers and ancillary products at several exhibitions.

First was the VI Encuentro Nacional de Brigadas de Emergencia y Rescate (6th National Meeting of Emergency & Rescue Brigades) in Copiapó, Northern Chile. This event, attended by 200 people, is the most important rescue team convention in the region. MineARC was invited to present to attendees of companies such as Pucobre, Codelco – Salvador, Codelco Chuquicamata, Codelco Teniente, Lundin Mining, Minera Carola, ENAP, Atacama Kosan and Yamana – EL Peñón.

In May, MineARC exhibited at Exponor Chile 2017 in Antofagasta, an exhibition of global technologies and innovations for mining. MineARC’s newest innovation, Aura-FX Digital Fixed Gas Monitor was on show along with our popular HyperION Cap Lamps and Charger Racks. Fernando Peña (MineARC Technical Support and Sales Engineer) had the opportunity to meet with personnel from Cía Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi, Glencore – Altonorte and BHP Billiton – Minera Escondida to discuss the MineARC EnviroLAV Waste Management System. Exponor is an integral exhibition for the region, with over 1000 exhibitors offering products and services, innovations, advances and improvements to the industrial, underground and open pit global mining market.

The last stop of the busy expo season in Chile was the Feria de Seguridad in Alto Maipo, organised by AES Gener, producer and distributor of electricity in Chile. The MineARC EnviroLAV was again a standout and point of interest for many. MineARC South America’s General Manager, Roberto Breyer, answered many questions with regards to the benefits and solutions the EnviroLAV brings to sites, including its self-contained, portable and robust design providing an economical and environmentally friendly solution to sanitary waste management.

All three events were a great outlet for MineARC to exchange and share industry information with a wide range of attendees.
