MineARC Electrical HRM (Hard Rock Mine) Refuges have emerged as the number one selling mine refuge in the world, as a result of over a decade of research and development along with an inherent understanding of underground safety requirements. The HRM has been developed and refined in co-operation with leading mining companies worldwide, and is the only HRM refuge model in the world to comply in full with the 2009 West Australian Guidelines for Refuge Chambers in Metalliferous [Hard-Rock] Mines (see link below).

The HRM 8 Refuge is a mid-sized model capable of accommodating up to eight (8) people. HRM 8 Refuges offer premium life support features, including three (3) separate sources of air (oxygen) supply, CO (carbon monoxide) and CO2 (carbon dioxide) scrubbing, and air-conditioning (details below).
