Powerless Scrubbers/Cooling

MineARC’s patented MARCis unit (Mine Air Refuge Chamber intrinsically safe) is the world's first non-electrically powered CO/CO2 scrubber with integrated air conditioning system; representing a breakthrough in safe refuge technology.
MineARC developed the MARCis to provide occupants with ease of use, extended time periods between chemical change outs and varying levels of scrubbing capacity. MARCISORB 1000 (CO) and MARCISORB 1500 (CO2) pre-filled chemical canisters provide proven absorbing capabilities and are easy to handle and store for long periods. The MARCis is powered by liquid CO2, stored in high pressure cylinders.
Under normal circumstances a permanent refuge chamber is connected to the mine’s compressed air supply - automatically flushing the refuge of harmful CO2 gases and providing cooling to the occupants. However should mine air be lost, the MARCis is activated - scrubbing the air of harmful CO/CO2 whilst also cooling and dehumidifying the refuge.
The MARCis is ideal for operations that have intrinsic safety requirements, do not have access to ‘mains power’ and/or intend to relocate the permanent refuge chamber equipment at regular intervals. The modular equipment is designed for ease of transport and can be interconnected by a single quick connect coupling from the MARCis unit to the cylinder rack/bay.
